mobicamp ATL/09 Info

2009 March 18

I’ve just received confirmation (thanks, Lance) that the first mobicamp will take place on Friday May 29, 2009 from 5-10PM at the ATDC at Georgia Tech. Dinner will be provided.

Great! Wait, what the hell is mobicamp anyway? mobicamp is a new, annual unconference in Atlanta centered around mobile technology and its impact on the day to day life of average users. It is aimed mainly at software developers and students, but is open to anyone with interests in the mobile/wireless space.

We’ve lined up one technical talk on iPhone. We’d love to have one of the folks at google speak about android. These talks will be short (< 10 mintes), then we will begin the free-form unconference stuff.

mobicamp is not a vendor show so don’t try to pitch your services or you will be asked to leave. There is, of course, one exception to this rule — sponsors.

mobicamp needs 4-5 sponsors to remain free for attendees. Please email amro@return7.com if you’re interested in sponsoring mobicamp. You’ll get a logo on the sidebar of this site as well as a couple of minutes to address the crowd prior to the event. Please see the sponsors post to get info about the mobicamp sponsor package.

Want to sign up? Click here. Spots are limited to the first 100 signups. If you register but later find that you cannot attend, please inform me via email at the address above.
